Total Govt Liabilities at Rs125.71 Lakh Cr in July-Sept: Report

The government’s total liabilities rose to Rs125.71 lakh crore in the September quarter from Rs120.91 lakh crore in the three months ended June, According to the latest public debt management report. It’s a quarter-on-quarter increase of 3.97% in July-September of 2021-22. In absolute terms, total liabilities, including liabilities under the ‘Public Account’ of the government, jumped to Rs125,71,747 crores at end of September 2021. At June-end total liabilities stood at Rs12,20,91,193 crores. The report was released by the finance ministry on Tuesday.
